Serving platter
- 1 lime
- 2 Tbs. butter room temperature
- 2 tsp. chopped cilantro
- 1 clove garlic minced
- ½ tsp. ancho chili powder
- 4 bone-in-beef strip steaks
- 2 Tbs. olive oil
- 2 Tbs. dry Montreal steak seasoning
Preheat your grill to medium-high for direct-heat cooking.
In a small bowl, grate ½ teaspoon of lime zest and squeeze out 1 teaspoon of lime juice.
Add butter, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, and ancho chili powder to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
Brush both sides of the steaks with oil.
Sprinkle the steaks evenly with steak seasoning.
Place the steaks on the grill.
Cook the steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side, flipping once, until they reach medium-rare or your preferred doneness.
Remove the steaks from the grill and place them on a serving platter.
Brush the steaks with the prepared ancho-garlic butter mixture.
Let the steaks rest for 3-5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
